Atlanta ShowGuide Partners with Atlanta PlanIt
To Support “Atlanta Art Lives Here”

Atlanta ShowGuide, the city’s premier performing arts publication, has entered into an exciting new partnership with the “Atlanta Art Lives Here” awareness campaign. Beginning with its popular holiday issue, Atlanta ShowGuide will promote the campaign through print advertising, magazine articles, online links to the “Atlanta Art Lives Here” website, radio spots and e-marketing.

“We all know these are challenging times for arts organizations,” said Gregg Daugherty, publisher of Atlanta ShowGuide (www.AtlantaShowGuide.com). “The campaign is a collaboration between 26 local performing arts groups, museums, university performing arts departments, arts centers, performance venues and more to raise awareness of the region’s numerous arts and cultural offerings and their important role within the community. Supporting the awareness campaign is a way for the magazine to promote Atlanta’s arts scene as a whole and remind audiences of the depth of artistic talent we have in this city.”

“Atlanta Art Lives Here” (www.atlantaartliveshere.com) is organized by AtlantaPlanIt.com, a service of Public Broadcasting Atlanta. Each participating arts group has contributed financially, and the funds will be used for print and billboard advertisements, radio spots and other marketing opportunities that may not have been affordable for the individual arts organizations.

“Atlanta is home to an outstanding, resilient arts community,” said Kimberly Harbrecht, operations manager for Atlanta PlanIt. “We want everyone to know that world-class performances, exhibits and programs are thriving right there in their own backyard, and we are thrilled Atlanta ShowGuide has stepped up to help us spread the word
